Rashtrotthana Parishat started the mission ‘Jagarana Prakalpa’ in 1989, Jagaran means bringing awareness. Prakalpa means a part or scheme or a wing of the organization, with a vision to give proper education to the children of slum dwellers, bring some hopes in the lives of slum dwellers, change the mindset of these people and bring them to the main stream. Jagarana Prakalpa is a scheme of giving education to the socially neglected children of the society.
This is a unique learning scheme for the children who are deprived of formal education.
The Project aims at upliftment of students as well as Teachers in aspects of social, educational and economical levels.
Mission ‘Jagarana Prakalpa’ is in operation in 210 slums in Bangalore with students over 5000. More than 230 volunteers are engaged as regular teachers.
Jagaran Prakalpa is absolutely FREE. No fee is levied on students.
