Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Thanisandra
It was a show of skill and enthusiasm at the second annual day of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra, Thanisandra. This year, the theme was ‘National Integration’ and that was reflected in the rendition of songs, dances and skits. Mahesh Joshi, Senior Director, Doordarshan Kendra, Bangalore, who was the chief guest, released the school magazine ‘Samskruthi – 2007-08’ and said that teachers must always strive to bring out the innate talent of children. K Narahari, syndicate member of Bangalore University, was the guest of honour and he stressed the role of schools in creating upright citizens of the country.
Vishnukanth Chatpalli, director, The Knowledge Trust of India, and Dinesh Hegde, general secretary, Rashtrotthana Parishath, gave away the prizes to the meritorious students. Headmistress Shylaja Krishna presented the school report. A. G. K. Nayak, joint-secretary, welcomed the gathering. The cultural programme was well appreciated by the audience.
