Bengaluru, Mar 15: The Indian Armed Forces are the emblem of country’s pride and it is the duty of every social institution to encourage the children of the present generation to join the Indian defence for the service of motherland. With this motive, Jaigopal Garodia Rashtrotthana Vidyalaya, Bengaluru, organised a session on ‘Career Opportunities in Indian Defence’.
Former Serviceman Colonel Ranjith Chitale, currently working as flight test engineer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) addressed the students and spoke about the ‘Career Opportunities in Defence’.
Colonel Chitale described the process to join the Indian Defence under Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission. He explained about the qualifications required to join the Indian Army, Navy and Air force and guided the students regarding entrance examinations and other criteria for selection processes. He also narrated his role and adventurous experiences in Kargil War.
Students interacted with the Colonel and expressed their passion and enthusiasm to join the Indian Defence. Kum.Chandana of class IX welcomed the gathering and Kum. Deekshitha of class X delivered the vote of thanks.
