The health challenges of people living in urban slum communities are quite different from those who live in other areas. Access, availability and affordability of healthcare are the key features of Rashtrotthana Hospital. Hence, “Clinic on Wheels” (CoW) is conceived to be a Mobile Clinic which will offer quality and free healthcare, medical consultations and free medicines in slums to the marginalised sections of the society. This will ensure that quality and timely healthcare is made available to the neglected sections of the society right at their doorstep. This Clinic on Wheels will visit 3 slums everyday and totally 18 slums a week and make tests like diabetes and other common diseases freely. For further investigations and medical care, the patients will be brought to Rashtrotthana Hospital.
