The Seva Vasati initiative of Rashtrotthana Parishat initialised in the year 1989 to raise the standard of living of the marginalised and underprivileged community. The aim of the Seva Vasati initiative is to bring societal transformation through individual transformation by imparting quality education, health amenities, vocational training, women empowerment etc.
Educational Excursion for the Students of ‘Seva Vasati’
One day educational excursion was organised for the students of various Seva Vasatis of Bengaluru to pioneer an experience of empirical learning among students. The programme was conducted consecutively for 3 weeks and a total of 225 students from various Seva Vasatis of Bengaluru were taken to ‘Madhava Srushti’ Rashtrotthana Goshala.
The students who hail from the Seva Vasatis of Netaji Nagar, Janata Colony, Anandapur in Mysore road and V.V. Giri Colony are involved in various pro-environmental activities at Goshala, thus joining hands for the protection of natural habitat.
A member of Rashtrotthana Parishat and Software engineer Sri Guru Basavaraj enlightened the students about career guidance and higher education. Also, various activities were conducted to students which are vital to students’ holistic development.
Monthly Diabetes Camp at Seva Vasati
Seva Vasati initiative of Rashtrotthana Parishat organised a free monthly diabetes camp in association with Rashtrotthana Blood Centre at various Seva Vastis of Bengaluru. The camp went on from February 25th to March 5th and 50 to 60 patients were beneficiaries of the camp.
The camp was conducted at Satyanagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Kunthi Grama, Janta Colony etc. and the patients suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure were diagnosed and necessary medicines were given.
Free School Bag Distribution at Seva Vasati
Seva Vasati prakalpa of Rashtrotthana Parishat aims at the upliftment of urban poor and marginalised communities residing in various Seva Vasati of Bengaluru. The Prakalpa in association with Akamai Technologies, an American based digital services company, on March 26th, championed a noble act of distributing free bags to students of class 10 who are trained under 10th Sure Pass Programme at various Seva Vasati across Bengaluru.
Sri GouriShankar Gudla, Vice President, Cloud Network Planning and Strategy-Asia Pacific and Japan at Akamai Technologies and Sri Dwarkanath ji, Vice President of Rashtrotthana Parishat was present at Gajendra Nagar Seva Vasati and distributed school bags to class 10 students. The event was also organised at V.V. Giri Seva Vasati, K.P. Agrahara and Sudham Nagar and nearly 350 students received free school bags.

ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಆಶಾಕಿರಣ ‘ಸೇವಾವಸತಿ’
ಸೇವಾವಸತಿ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಜೀವನಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಸುಧಾರಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ 1989ರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಜಾಗರಣವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದು ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪರಿವರ್ತನೆಯ ಗುರಿ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ತರಬೇತಿ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆರೈಕೆ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಚಾರ ಮಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಸೇವಾ ವಸತಿಯ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಇಂತಿವೆ.
ಸೇವಾವಸತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಕಾಪ್ರವಾಸ
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಏಕದಿನದ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಪ್ರವಾಸವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಯೋಗಿಕ ಕಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಘಾಟಿ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪದ ‘ಮಾಧವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ’ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಗೆ 225 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಲಾಯಿತು.
ನೇತಾಜಿ ನಗರ, ಮೈಸೂರು ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಜನತಾ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆನಂದಪುರ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿ.ವಿ. ಗಿರಿ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಗಳ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ‘ಮಾಧವ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ’ಗೆ ತೆರಳಿ ವಿವಿಧ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಇದೇ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಾಫ್ಟ್ ವೇರ್ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರು ಬಸವರಾಜ್ ಉನ್ನತ ಮತ್ತು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿ ಹಲವು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾಸದ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಧುಮೇಹ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರ
ಸೇವಾವಸತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ರಕ್ತಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಮಾಸಿಕ ಮಧುಮೇಹ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 25ರಿಂದ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 5ರ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮಧುಮೇಹ ತಪಾಸಣಾ ಶಿಬಿರದ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವನ್ನು ಸುಮಾರು 50 ರಿಂದ 60 ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಸತ್ಯನಗರ, ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್ ನಗರ, ನೇತಾಜೀ ನಗರ, ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಳದ ಕುಂತಿಗ್ರಾಮ, ಜನತಾ ಕಾಲೋನಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಇತರೆ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಧುಮೇಹ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧಿಕ ರಕ್ತದೊತ್ತಡದ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಔಷಧಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಸೇವಾ ವಸತಿ ಪ್ರಕಲ್ಪವು ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ವಿವಿಧ ಸೇವಾ ವಸತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಏಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಶ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಕಲ್ಪವು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 26ರಂದು ಅಮೇರಿಕ ಮೂಲದ ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಸೇವಾ ಕಂಪನಿ, ಅಕ್ಮಮೈ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜೀಸ್ ನ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ ವಿತರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಸೇವಾ ವಸತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ, “10th Sure Pass” ಯೋಜನೆಯು ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ ಅನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು.
ಅಕ್ಮಮೈ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜೀಸ್ ನ ಕ್ಲೌಡ್ ನೆಟ್‌ವರ್ಕಿಂಗ್ ಯೋಜನೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯತಂತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ಗೌರಿಶಂಕರ ಗುಡ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಶ್ರೀ ದ್ವಾರಕಾನಾಥ್ ಜೀ ಗಜೇಂದ್ರ ನಗರ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿಯ ಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬ್ಯಾಗ್ ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ವಿ.ವಿ.ಗಿರಿ ಸೇವಾವಸತಿ, ಕೆ.ಪಿ ಅಗ್ರಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಧಾಮ ನಗರ ಸೇವಾ ವಸತಿಯಲ್ಲೂ ನೆರವೇರಿದ್ದು ಒಟ್ಟು 350 ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಬ್ಯಾಗನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
