Cows have a sacred place in the Bharatiya culture. Cows aren’t just an animal that gives milk to mankind. But, it is worshipped in the form of a Goddess. In order to carry forward the pride of Bharat in nurturing cows and to encourage the protection and promotion of cows of indeginious breeds Rashtrotthana Gaushala was started in the year 2007. The major activities of the Gaushala in the previous quarter are given here.
The Shishya Vrinda of Maharshi Pushpandaja Gurukula visited the Rashtrotthana Goshala in Ghati Subramanya to celebrate the Makar Sankranti. Nearly 91 students participated in the event. Sri Jagadeesh Rao, Regional Coordinator, Swadeshi Jagaran Manch graced the occasion as the chief guest of the event. Sri Gara Suresh, Pramukh of Hindu Seva Pratishtana, Sri Jagadeesh Nayak, Chief of BBMP south division participated in the event.
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Basavaraja Bommai performed Gau Puja on the eve of his birthday on January 28. He also adopted 11 cows of indeginious breed from Rashtrotthana Gaushala and joined hands in the noble cause of cow protection and rendered a precious message to the society.

ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಿಂದ ಗೋವುಗಳ ದತ್ತು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ
ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಕಾಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗೋವಿಗೆ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ. ಗೋವು ನಮಗೆ ಹಾಲು ನೀಡುವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾತೃ ಸ್ಥಾನವಿದೆ. ಗೋವಿನ ಹಿರಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ ದೇಸಿ ತಳಿಗಳ ಗೋವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ 2007 ರಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನ ವಹಿಸಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಯ ಕಳೆದ ತ್ರೈಮಾಸಿಕದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಘಾಟಿಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹರ್ಷಿ ಪುಷ್ಪಾಂಡಜ ಗುರುಕುಲದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಸಂಕ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹಬ್ಬವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಸುಮಾರು 91 ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಗೋಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಕ್ರಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಸಂಭ್ರಮೋಲ್ಲಾಸಗಳಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಜಾಗರಣ ಮಂಚ್ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಿಯ ಸಂಯೋಜಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಗದೀಶ್ ರಾವ್, ಹಿಂದೂ ಸೇವಾ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಗಾರ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಜೀ ಹಾಗೂ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ವಲಯದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಗದೀಶ್ ನಾಯಕ್ (ಮಾಜಿ ಎಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಗ್ರಾಮಾಂತರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ) ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಗೋಶಾಲೆಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೀವನ್ ಜೀಯವರು ಹಾಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕ ಬಂಧುಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಚೆಂದಗಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಸವರಾಜ ಎಸ್. ಬೊಮ್ಮಾಯಿಯವರು ಜನವರಿ 28 ರಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಬ್ಬದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಗೋಪೂಜೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು. ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಸರಳ ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಘಾಟಿ ಸುಬ್ರಹ್ಮಣ್ಯದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಗೋಶಾಲೆಯ 11 ಗೋವುಗಳ ದತ್ತು ಸ್ವೀಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ತನ್ಮೂಲಕ ಗೋ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಂದೇಶ ನೀಡಿದರು.
