The Rashtrotthana Vidyalaya of Holehonnuru conducted a series of events in the previous trimester in perspective of the holistic development of students. Rashtrotthana educational institutions always aim for overall personality development of students along with formal education and aspires to impart education based on Indian culture and values.
Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration: The school celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on 2nd of October, 2021. Sri Ashok Guruji and Usha Mataji gave lectures on life and achievements of Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji respectively.
Dasara Festival: On the eve of Saptami as per the Hindu Calendar, Dasara festival was celebrated in the school on 12th October, 2021. Prayers were offered to goddess Saraswathi and the students prayed for physical and intellectual enlightenment. The preparations began a week earlier and with the due coordination of teachers and students 11 theme-based presentations of Dasara dolls were exhibited which narrated mythological and value-based stories. The students also sung various patriotic songs, Vachanas and Bhajans dedicated to goddess Saraswathi.
Kannada Rajyotsava: On 1st of November Kannada Rajyotsava was celebrated. Jayashree Mataji graced the occasion by addressing the students and rendering a lecture about the land, language, history and culture.
Symposium for Teachers: On 11th November 2021, Sunday, a workshop was organized for the teachers from Rashtrotthana community on the topic National Education Policy – 2020 and School Text books Review-Why and How? 17 teachers from Rashtrotthana Vidyalaya participated in the event.
Kanakadasa Jayanti: On 11th November, the school organized Kanakadasa Jayanti. Vishalakshi Mataji spoke about the revolution created by Dasa Sahitya in the society and Kanakadas’s life and how he mentored the masses and rectified the loopholes of society.
Geeta Jayanti: On 22nd December, 2021 Geetha Jayanti was celebrated in order to inculcate the preaching’s of ShriKrishna among children and to enlighten them to walk in the path of Dharma for nation’s progress. Hundreds of students and parents were present at the event. Students chanted slokas and bhajans and enacted various plays. Also, an art exhibition and video presentation on Dashavatara was organized.
Tapas and Sadhana Entrance Exam:
On 25th December, 2021 Tapas and Sadhana entrance examination was conducted in the school premises and 64 boys appeared for Tapas exams and 152 and 31 girls appeared for Sadhana Medical and Sadhana Education (teacher training) exams respectively.
Besides, the president of Rashtrotthana Parishat Sri M P Kumar made his maiden visit to the school on 26th October, 2021. The principal of the school briefed about the timeline and prime activities of the school for the dignitaries. The president encouraged the school staff to continue their good work for an ideal cause with utmost dedication and commitment.
The students of Rashtrotthana Vidyalaya, Holehonnuru are exposed to a vivid atmosphere and are imparted with empirical knowledge to accomplish the goals of one’s own and the nation.
