Bengaluru, 23rd September 2021: Rashtrotthana Parishat, an NGO that has been working towards creating a healthy and sustainable society since 1965, has handed over ICU beds to Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research as a part of its commitment to combating COVID19, supported by Allstate Solutions Pvt Ltd.
When the second wave of COVID-19 hit Bangalore in April and May 2021, there was an increased need for healthcare facilities to combat the pandemic. Rashtrothana Parishat set up five COVID isolation centres totaling 300 beds for mild to moderate symptoms in different parts of Bangalore where 800 patients were treated and 51 patients were referred outside for further treatment.
As preparedness to tackle the pandemic and with the intent to augment the city’s critical care infrastructure, Rashtrotthana Parishat have partnered with several Corporate Companies including Allstate Solutions Pvt Ltd to facilitate the donation of ICU beds that includes ICUs and step down ICUs.

Gopinath K V, Director Allstate Solutions Pvt Ltd and Dr. Satish S Kattimani, Lead, CSR Allstate Solutions Pvt Ltd and A R Dwarakanath, Vice President, Rashtrotthana Parishat handed over the equipment for a 10-bed ICU set-up to Dr. C N Manjunath, Director, Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research.
Rashtrotthana Parishat has set up ICUs and Pediatric ICUs in 5 charitable hospitals, partnering with 4 corporate companies and NASSCOM Foundation in the past few months
Speaking on the occasion, Vice President Rashtrotthana Parishat, A R Dwarakanath said “we are setting up ICU beds in Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research as a part of our commitment to enhancing the medical infrastructure of the city. We will be setting up our own 150-bed charitable hospital in the coming 10 months in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar. This is our preparedness stratergy ro combat COVID19”.
