Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti @ JGRV Kalyan Nagar

Bengaluru, Jan 23: ‘Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti’, also known as ‘Parakram Diwas’ (Day of Valor), was observed by JGRV Kalyan Nagar. In this online event, Kum. Vaishnavi K G and Kum. Nandika of class VII B spoke about the life and contribution of Subhas Chandra Bose. The gist of their speech was as follows.
Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23rd January 1897 was an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India. Due to the inspiration of Chittanrajan Das, Subhas Chandra Bose was attracted to Freedom Movement. Even though Subhas Chandra Bose had a lot of reverence for Gandhi, he resigned from the congress party in 1939 due to serious differences with Gandhi. He founded ‘Forward Block’ party. When the second World War had started the British kept Subhas Chandra Bose under house arrest due to his radical views, but Bose managed to escape from the house arrest and reached Berlin through Peshawar, Kabul and Moscow. Bose entered into an agreement with Hitler, the enemy of the British and secured his help to push the British out of India, Subhas Chandra Bose accepted the leadership of Indian National Congress or Azad Hind Fauz. In 1943 Subhas was called as Netaji. Netaji had given a call, “You give me blood, I’ll give you freedom”.
His adventurous journey to Moscow from Calcutta and then to Germany and from Germany to Japan in those difficult times is extraordinary. Netaji who had boarded a plane on 18th August 1945 disappeared mysteriously.
By this program, our students came to know how Netaji played a pivotal role in Indian Freedom Struggle.
