Bengaluru: Rashtrotthana Blood Bank is one of the most significant projects under Rashtrotthana Parishat. Samraksha is a boon for Thalassemia patients which operates under the ambit of Rashtrotthana Blood Bank. During the last trimester, Oct – Dec, 2021, under Samraksha initiative, a remarkable quantity of blood transfusion was carried out for the needy patients.
In the month of Oct 2021, 657units of blood was transfused and in the month of Nov and Dec 613 units and 668 units of blood was transfused respectively. In total, 1938 units of blood was transfused to those suffering from Thalassemia.
Samraksha – Thalassemia Children Health Centre was established on Aug 19, 2103 by treating 19 children. At present, the number of people who were successfully treated under Samraksha stands at 400 who hail from various parts of Karnataka and also from neighbouring states. Patients from varied age groups have registered themselves under Samraksha who need blood transfusion at regular intervals of time.
The patients who arrive from distant places for treatment are provided with free food and other amenities along with medical facilities such as free blood check-up, necessary and vital medicines, blood transfusion etc. In order to help the patients to cope up with their mental health when they undergo blood transfusion counselling facilities are also provided. Especially the children suffering from Thalassemia, are aided with counselling sessions and in order to keep them engaged storytelling, music, drawing, games and other activities are conducted.
ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಪೀಡಿತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತದಾನ
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಮಹತ್ತ್ವದ ಪ್ರಕಲ್ಪಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ರಕ್ತ ಕೆಂದ್ರದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯೂ ಒಂದು. ಸಂರಕ್ಷಾದ ಅಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಪೀಡಿತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕಳೆದ ತ್ರೈಮಾಸಿಕದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ – ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್, 2021, ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಗರಿಷ್ಠ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಮರುಪೂರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
2021ರ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ 657 ಯುನಿಟ್ , ನವೆಂಬರಿನಲ್ಲಿ 613 ಯುನಿಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ 668 ಯುನಿಟ್ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಒಟ್ಟು 1938 ಯುನಿಟ್ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಮರುಪೂರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ದಿಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಾ ಯೋಜನೆಯು ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ರೋಗಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಶಾಕಿರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಸಂರಕ್ಷಾ- ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರವು 2013ರ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 19ರಂದು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. 19 ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಆರಂಭವಾದ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಾ ಕೆಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಈವರೆಗೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊರ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳ 400ಕ್ಕೂ ಅಧಿಕ ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಪೀಡಿತರಿಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಜೀವನ ಪರ್ಯಂತ ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ಅವಧಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ವಿವಿಧ ವಯೋಮಾನದ ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ರೋಗಿಗಳು ಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಂದಾಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ‘ಸಂರಕ್ಷಾ’ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಂಜೀವಿನಿಯಂತೆ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಪೀಡಿತರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತ ತಪಾಸಣೆ, ರಕ್ತಪೂರಣ, ಅಗತ್ಯ ಔಷಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಊಟೋಪಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರೆ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಇದರೊಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಸ್ಥಿರತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸದ ವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಮಾಲೋಚಕರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ತಲಸ್ಸೇಮಿಯಾ ಪೀಡಿತ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆತ್ಮಸ್ಥೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಕಥೆ ಹೇಳುವುದು, ಆಟಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಡ್ರಾಯಿಂಗ್ ಮುಂತಾದ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸುವುದು, ಹೀಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ಸವಲತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
