Samvit Katha Bharathi Orientation Program @ JGRV Kalyan Nagar

‘Story is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world’
Bengaluru: Samvit Katha Bharathi is one of the Samvit modules which focuses on the personality aspects required for positive emotional and social development of children through the means of storytelling.
On May 25th, JGRV Kalyan Nagar School organized an orientation program for teachers in the art of storytelling.
The program started with Deepaprajwalne and Pushparchane by the guests. Smt. Prathibha mataji extended a warm welcome and introduced the guests.
Smt. Geetha Srinivasan mataji who has worked in teaching field for three decades, is a free-lance journalist and life skill trainer. She also renders academic guidance to teaching fraternity; Sri Thyagaraj ji has worked with S-VYASA, Amrutha School of Engineering and is associated with Utsava and Katha Bharathi; Sri Manjunath Shinde ji has worked with Toyota Kirloskar Motors for 17 years and has been with Samvit team as implementation team member; were the resource persons.
Smt. Geetha mataji explained that children love to listen to stories and storytelling is the best way of developing values. She told that Samvit stories are designed to develop various personality aspects of children.
Then Sri Manjunath ji explained the steps of narrating stories through power point presentation and activities. Teachers were engaged in an activity, wherein they were given a small narrative and asked to present it as a skit.
