Bengaluru, Mar 23: Shaheed Diwas is observed every year on March 23rd to remember the sacrifices made by Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar for India s Independence.
This day is remembered as a dark chapter in the pages of history as the British Government hanged the revolutionary leaders Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar at the Lahore Central Jail in Lahore on 23rd March 1931. The sacrifices of these young revolutionaries continue to inspire the youth today.
Shaheed Diwas was observed by JGRV Kalyan Nagar. Following the school prayer, Chi. Bharath of Class VIII welcomed our Pradhan Acharya Smt. Gayathri Kulkarni Mathaji, teachers and the students. He also gave a brief introduction about Shaheed Diwas and the revolutionary leaders.
A skit was performed by the students of class VIII and VII which reflected the courage and sacrifice of our revolutionaries at a very young age. The skit motivated the students to be brave and love their country always.
