IITs in India are well renowned engineering institutions and innumerable youth aspire to get into IIT. But, an aspirant’s socio-economic background should never be a barrier in this process. With this vision, Rashtrotthana Parishat started a Project, ‘Tapas’ in 2012.
Talented & meritorious boys from rural & remote parts of Karnataka who belong to underprivileged sections of society are selected to ‘Tapas’ through a multi-level selection process. The initiative, nurtures them with free PU education & IIT-JEE coaching that enables them to secure seats in the prestigious IITs, NITs & top reputed Engineering Colleges with free hostel, food, education & other essential facilities being provided.
