Tapas 11^th Batch: 4 Boys got admission in IITs out of 8 eligible boys, Saadhana 6^th Batch: 8 Girls got 600+ marks and all the 45 girls scored NEET Eligible Marks and interesting story of Balaji G R who is the first boy in Tapas persuing PhD.

Balaji G R from Chitradurga is a brilliant student, but he couldn’t think of pursuing higher education due to his family’s financial constraints. He got selected for Rashtrotthana’s Tapas project which has been providing free PUC education and IIT-JEE coaching in the 4th batch of Tapas (2015-17). He was planning to drop out of studies halfway through Tapas and was counseled and motivated by the Rashtrotthana elders. He did well in 2nd PUC, IIT-JEE, completed BTech with 4 Gold Medals from NIT-K Surathkal, completed MTech with Gold Medal from IIT-Hyderabad, enrolled in PhD course at IISc-Bengaluru. He is the first Tapas alumni to pursue PhD.

ಚಿತ್ರದುರ್ಗದ ಬಾಲಾಜಿ ಜಿ ಆರ್ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ, ಆದರೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳುವಷ್ಟು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. PUC ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಹಾಗೂ IIT-JEE ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಮಾಡುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನದ ತಪಸ್‍ಗೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡ. ಅವನದ್ದು ತಪಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ 4ನೇ ಬ್ಯಾಚ್ (2015-17). ಕೆಲವು ವೈಯ್ಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಕಾರಣಗಳಿಂದ ತಪಸ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಓದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಿಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ. ಆದರೆ ಪರಿಷತ್‍ನ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಆಪ್ತಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ಪಡೆದು, PUC, IIT-JEEಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ‍್ಳೆಯ ಸಾಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, NITK ಸುರತ್ಕಲ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ 4 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ BTech ಮುಗಿಸಿ, IIT-Hyderabadನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕದೊಂದಿಗೆ MTechನ್ನು ಮುಡಿಗೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, IISc-Bengaluruನಲ್ಲಿ PhD ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಪಸ್ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ PhD ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ತೆರಳುತ್ತಿರುವವರಲ್ಲಿ ಇವನೇ ಮೊದಲಿಗನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
